Getting Started With Single Sign-On
💡You will need IT resources to kick off this process.
Step 1: Setting up the configuration process
- Identifying your Identity Provider and Directory Provider (if they are different).
- Listing the expected user email domains via SAML.
💡Note: If you are expecting users outside your directory to access your Mapistry instance, we recommend against this for data and security purposes.
- Are users going to use the Mapistry Web Applicaiton, the Mapistry IOS/Andorid Mobile app or both?
Step 2: Setting up onboarding links
Two onboarding links will be sent to your IT point of contact - one for Directory Sync (SCIM) and another for SSO. Both these links will walk through the creation of an Identity Provider Enterprise application, but you will only need to complete this step once.
💡Note: These links contain sensitive information and shouldn't be shared. They will expire 30 days after you receive them.
Step 3: Whitelisting your domains
Once the directory sync and SSO onboarding has been completed on your end, we will whitelist your domain(s) and collaborate with you to make sure everything is working as expected.
💡Note: Users will need to have the necessary permissions in your internal directory to be able to access Mapistry via this route.
