1. The Keynote! 

Our team is beyond thrilled to have Time Magazine, “Hero of the Environment,” Michael Shellenberger delivering the keynote address on Wednesday, October 23rd.He’ll be discussing the ‘new vision of environmental protection’ and why innovation is an essential building block in corporate environmental programs.Michael is the Founder and President of Environmental Progress, a non profit advocacy group and he has worked for over 25 years in environmental and social advocacy. Most famously known as a prolific and influential pro-nuclear environmentalists, Michael has made a career researching and advocating innovative solutions and ideas to solve some of the worlds most challenging energy problems.

Michael’s keynote address is a can’t miss event! 

2. Women in Environmental Leadership Breakfast 

Kick off day 2 of the Third Annual Summit and join four powerful women as they detail their journeys in environmental leadership. This is a can’t miss event with an opportunity to hear from women from Republic Services, Tesla and Mapistry. Moderated by Mapistry CEO, Allie Janoch Mary Jo Press, Amber Smith and Antonia Gunner hare insights on how they’ve grown their careers, confronted challenges, and used their influence to impact business decisions.

3. Farewell Dinner and Drinks at Triple Rock Brewery 

After a busy Summit schedule unwind with the Mapistry team at Triple Rock Brewery a short walk from the conference venue. Enjoy delicious food and beer at Berkeley’s first brew pub and take in the lovely October weather on the rooftop deck.  

Following the farewell address we will walk to Triple Rock and relax until 8pm enjoying a true Berkeley beer. The farewell reception is included in registration. 

4. Mapistry Office Hours and Peer Networking 

Connect, network, expand your skills with your peers. From scrap metal recycling to wineries to trucking companies, we have every industry covered. Only corporate EHS and environmental staff will be at the summit, giving attendees the opportunity to share best practices, success stories and make a couple friends along the way! Mapistry is committed to building even more networking opportunities into this year’s event!

5. Wednesday Dinner Reception and Award Ceremony 

Following the cocktail hour on Wednesday, enjoy dinner upstairs and continue the conversation of environmental excellence. Dinner will showcase the artisanal and rustic flavors of the California cuisine in addition to local sips of delicious beer and wine. 

During dinner, Mapistry will be awarding the Excellence in Environmental Compliance Awards. 

The Excellence in Environmental Compliance Awards honor exemplary achievements over the past year. Our team is excited to take a moment and recognize dedicated individuals and companies who strive to champion innovation and thought leadership in environmental compliance.  Mapistry will be honoring achievements in the following categories, Excellence in Compliance, Corporate Visionary and Technology and Innovation.

6. The amazing speakers! 

The sessions at this year’s Pollution Prevention agenda highlight two key areas of environmental compliance, executive strategies and tactical strategies. The executive strategies track will highlight broad skills to ensure your compliance team has the tools and strategies to succeed! The tactical strategies track will provide deep dives into some of the more complicated compliance challenges.
