Today’s manufacturing leaders are under pressure to manage hazardous materials with the highest levels of quality and integrity. At Mapistry, we’re committed to simplifying the way manufacturers achieve this. This is why we’re excited to announce that Mapistry is diving even deeper into hazardous materials management by enabling manufacturers to not only digitally generate their Hazardous Materials Business Plans (HMBP), but they can now cross-link hazardous materials assets — including, chemical inventories, storage areas, fire hazard areas, and more — directly to a digital site map of their facility.

One particularly powerful new feature is our hazardous materials chemical inventory log that nicely summarizes the chemical characteristics you need to satisfy requirements including particular quantity, concentration, and location. Plus, since these details are linked directly linked to your facility map, so any updates you make will be automatically reflected in your chemical table. Not to mention, this data is securely retained in your own environmental compliance records repository.

Another critical part of the hazardous materials process that we’re making easier is the creation and submission of your chemical inventory data to directly to electronic reporting systems such as the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) or the Quality Permitting and Reporting Information System (PARIS).

And as always, inspections of hazardous waste accumulation areas are a crucial component of any compliance program. Like Mapistry’s other suites (stormwater and SPCC), you’ll be able to rapidly complete inspections, link photos, and track corrective actions from the convenience of your phone, tablet or desktop.
